I then uninstalled and hid the old installation in the Origin library. Copied over every EP01, FP01, GP01, SP01, all the numbers, from the old installation, into the new Steam installation.

For me that was 'G:/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4', so try looking around for an 'Electronic Arts' folder, or an 'Origin Games' folder till you find it.
